Auto Key Clicker for Windows

Automatic Key Clicker is a small, free Windows app that presses or holds any keyboard key at the interval you set. Toggle it on and off from any window — even full-screen games — with a single hotkey.

What It Does

An auto key clicker solves one specific problem: keeping a finger on the same key for an hour. Whether you're AFK farming in an idle game, running a long UI test loop, doing repetitive data entry, or keeping your PC awake during a slow download, this tool handles it while you step away.

The app fires or holds whichever key you choose at the rhythm you dial in. Pick the key once, set the interval in milliseconds, hit Start, and come back later. The global hotkey (F6 by default) works even if the app is minimized or hidden behind a full-screen window.

Automatic Key Clicker is portable—unzip it anywhere and run it. No installation, no account, no background services. Close the window and it stops completely.

How to Use

  1. Download and unzip Go to automatickeyclicker.com, download the portable build, and unzip the folder anywhere—Desktop, Documents, or a USB stick.
  2. Click Set Key Launch the app and click the Set Key button. Press the keyboard key you want repeated (letters, Space, Enter, arrows, function keys, etc.). One press and you're done.
  3. Enter the interval Type the interval in milliseconds (5 ms to 10 minutes). For rapid taps in games, try 50–200 ms. For slow heartbeats, try 30,000–60,000 ms. Or tick Hold key down to press and hold continuously.
  4. Optional: add jitter Tick Randomize ± and enter a window (e.g., ±20 ms) to add a small random offset to each interval so the pattern doesn't sound like a metronome.
  5. Start or use hotkey Click Start to begin, or press F6 from any other window to toggle on and off. F6 works even in full-screen games and remote desktops. Watch the session counter tick up to verify it's working.

Common Scenarios

**Idle games.** Set the interval to 50–200 ms for a rapid tap that triggers incremental rewards. Use Tap mode to fire quick presses, and add random jitter (±10–20 ms) so the pattern doesn't feel robotic.

**AFK farming.** Many single-player games let you stay AFK while holding a movement key or spam-clicking. Set the interval to 100–500 ms and choose Hold key down to keep the key pressed continuously—exactly as if you were holding it physically. Check your game's terms of service first.

**Anti-idle heartbeat.** During a long download or upload, press Space or any key every 30–60 seconds to keep the PC awake and prevent sleep mode. Set a slow interval (30,000–60,000 ms) and toggle with F6.

**Repetitive data entry.** In a test loop or form-filling task, an auto key clicker can press Tab or Enter at fixed intervals while you monitor the results. Adjust the interval to match your workflow speed.

Why This Tool Works

Automatic Key Clicker uses SendInput plus hardware scan codes—the same method that works in games and remote sessions where older automation tools quietly fail. It sends standard keyboard events through Windows, just as a physical keyboard would.

The global hotkey is the key feature. You can minimize the app, start a full-screen game, and toggle the clicker on and off with F6 without ever returning to the window. That simplicity is what makes it reliable for long sessions.

It's portable and zero-footprint. Nothing installs, nothing runs in the system tray after you close it, and it takes up about 2 MB of disk space. Drop it on a USB stick and run it from any Windows PC.

Questions

Will this get me banned in online games?

Automatic Key Clicker makes no attempt to hide what it is. Online games with kernel-level anti-cheat may forbid any input automation. Check your game's terms of service before using it.

Do I need to install it?

No. It's a portable build. Unzip and run. To remove it, delete the folder.

Does it require an account or internet?

No account, no sign-up, no network access at all.

What's the smallest interval?

5 milliseconds. That's fast enough for rapid taps in idle games. The largest is 10 minutes for slow anti-idle heartbeats.

Can I change the hotkey?

Yes. F6 is the default, but you can rebind it to any F1 through F12.

Does it work on Windows 11?

Yes, and Windows 10. Both 64-bit versions behave identically.

Is it really free?

Yes, forever. MIT licensed, no ads, no Pro tier, no locked features.
